What’s in your heart…You will find/get more of it

“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:21 KJV

The human heart is the most complex and highly efficient pump known to man. It is not just good for pumping it is also a storehouse of secrets, feelings and the list goes on.  The Bible of full of heart related verses. Here are a few:

Jeremiah 17:9: “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” A lot can be added here. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. Matthew 15:19 KJV. Matthew 5:8: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” Those who guard their hearts from all the evil out there and also within have a great reward awaiting them. One way to assure oneself of this wonderful promise is to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30:   Furthermore, to love your neighbor as you love yourself. I could continue but let me switch back to my topic.

I have found it true to say that what is in your heart is also what comes out of your mouth. “From the abundance to the heart the mouth speaks Luke 6:45.” In addition, what is in your heart, you find more of it. If it is love, you find more love. If it is bitterness, you will find more things to be bitter about. If it is hatred, more hate comes to you. If it is evil, bad things are attracted to you, if it is fear, you are stuck in a cocoon refusing to hatch! If it is generosity, more good things come to you as you also give. If God is in your heart, the universe is attracted to your charisma.

I think my heart is full of love…and strangely, I have found a lot of unique shaped objects of love (heart) include a sculpture of the word love. See images. To sum up, my time in this beautiful world is limited…why fill your heart with rubbish, fretting likes and worry? My prayer is simple, Psalm 51:10: “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me” and “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23:  AMEN.
